THERE COMES A TIME IN YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU NEED TO CARRY A GUN
I saw Brian King put this on facebook.
I really don't know who wrote some of this but I liked what they said, then added some of my own because what that person said is so true.
One morning you wake up and realize there comes a time in every man’s life when you no longer have the physical ability to scrap like you could during your youth.
It is at that point you recognize you have to stop bustin’ knuckles and if you have to, start bustin’ caps because your just too damn old to take a whipping.
Yes, I carry a gun everywhere I go even to church. Why, you ask ?
Well! let me tell you that for certain “I don’t carry a gun to kill people.
I carry a gun to keep from being killed by someone who should have been shot along time ago.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m a evil person.
I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see that just because someone walks on two legs means they are human.
I carry a gun for as a law enforcement officer I have seen what evil truly can do to another.
I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government as I am so damn fortunate to have been born in America.
I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of our law enforcement and the amount of time it takes to get to you when things are going wrong fast.
“I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry toward anyone .
I carry a gun so that I don’t have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.
I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone.
I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed and not on a sidewalk somewhere.
“I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man, but I am wise enough to know when my ego says, I have the physical ability to still take care of business when needed that it is lying to me.
I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves, the ones they love and his fellow man if needed.
I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate.
I carry a gun because being unarmed and facing a group of thugs I am inadequate.
"I don’t carry a gun because I love the feel of it on my waist.
I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.
Law Enforcement is great, but when they are not near enough to get to you quickly, then the phrase "To protect and Serve" is worthless.
I realize I have to be responsible for myself because law enforcement Agencies do not protect you from crime.
Law Enforcement just investigates the crime after it happens and then they call someone to clean up the mess.
I carry the gun because I don't want that mess to be me.
Personally, I carry a gun because at my old age, I’m too young to die and do not intend to take a ass whoopin or worse!
