Joshua Ray Hamm Charged with Drug Trafficking

A Muscle Shoals Man who claims to be a U.S. Army veteran has been arrested on charges of drug trafficking. Authorities say Joshua Ray Hamm, 38, was charged earlier this week with trafficking in methamphetamine.

Five years ago, Hamm was a resident of Tuscumbia when he was arrested for possession and sale of heroin and suboxone (pictured below). If convicted of the current trafficking charges, Hamm faces a minimum of three years in prison. Due to the amount of the drug found in Hamm's vehicle and his previous arrests, he theoretically may face as much as 20 years in the state prison system. He remains in the Colbert County Jail at this time.
