Harden County Teacher Arrested for Gun Crime
Christopher Todd Alexander, 31, has been arrested in Harden County, Tennessee, and charged with Vandalism and Reckless Endangerment (Firing into an Occupied Building). Authorities say that the Savannah man fired at least five shots into the Main Street Pharmacy on Saturday afternoon. He was developed as a suspect after detectives retrieved CCTV footage of the area.
Todd Alexander was taken into custody on Monday and quickly bonded out. He was then placed on unpaid leave by Harden County Schools where he teaches history and political science. Authorities have given no motive for the shooting.
Alexander is a gradute of Harden County High School and the University of Tennessee at Martin. He resides in Savannah with his wife and child.
